Dante’s Inferno: Can we say GoW Rip-Off?
by webmaster on Mar.29, 2010, under XBOX 360 Game Reviews

Dantes Inferno Xbox360
Dante’s Inferno is the latest release from Visceral Games, a subsidiary of EA Games. For Originality, I give it a straight “F”, since it is blatantly a copy of God of War 3. From game mechanics, to boss battles. But what it is lacking in originality, Dante’s Inferno makes up for in creativity.
If you are a God of War fan, I would say you will see what I am talking about within the first 5 minutes of gameplay. The only difference, is that the twin swords have been replaced with a scythe. But does that make it a bad game? If you are a PS3 owner, there is no substitute for God of War 3, but if you are an Xbox 360 owner, Dante’s Inferno is a nice substitute for the PS3 title when you need a fix of violence and nudity.
God of War 3: A closing triumph for a legendary title
by webmaster on Mar.24, 2010, under Playstation 3 Game Reviews
God of War has been the landmark title for Sony since the launch of PS2, but honestly it was one of the few games I have never had experience with.
Then the articles and buzz began to fill my ears, of a new final installment on this franchise. At that time, I began to wonder to myself, is this title truely up to its hype? Or is it yet another title that Sony markets that is not worth the cost to create it?
Mayweather: “The Greatest?”.…not even close
by Knucklehead on Nov.09, 2009, under Boxing News, Welterweight Boxing News

It’s all about the “Money”
Floyd “Money” Mayweather.…a very fitting name for the Las Vegas based boxer, as his moniker embodies everything this once exciting fighter is all about these days.
While perhaps the most talented fighter since a young Roy Jones, Mayweather has carefully avoided the best, most competitive and relevant fights in boxing since his days as a 130 and 135 pound champion. Rather than give the fans that made him rich the fights they deserve to see, he and his handlers have adopted the “Low Risk/High Reward” strategy, citing money as the reason he avoids the real threats to his perceived supremacy.
This article is not meant to be a Floyd bashing party, but rather an honest assessment of his career, his greatness and what defines true greatness in the sport of boxing. (continue reading…)
24/7 Pacqiauo V Cotto Round 3

The 3rd episode is complete and the fight is soon, so what does that mean for these two trainers?
There was really nothing to exciting about the 3rd episode of HBO’s boxing documentary 24/7 this week. Just some vanilla video footage of the daily routines of the fighters. There was a couple of snippets I would like to comment on though, a couple of small items of interest that caught my eye. (continue reading…)
Borderlands: Could a Post Holocaust World be this Fun?

“There ain’t no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good!”

Borderlands Xbox360
The title song for this exceptional game says it all. Borderlands is the latest release by 2K games. A highly anticipated game to say the least. Amped up by downloadable demos and videos from the Xbox Live Network. This game promises a child of RPG and FPS gaming styles, and although I was wary it would resemble Fallout 3 (sorry I was not impressed with that game), Borderlands provides something a little different.
A stylized world, the game utilizes the growingly popular illustration type graphics. A merging of classic 3D and 2D filters, provides a gritty and entertaining gaming environment, and the violence is just over the top enough to make it hilarious (you never get tired of running over mutants and skaggs in your vehicle). Is it the end for Taylor?

HBO promotional poster for Jermain Taylor vs. Winky Wright
Admittedly, Jermain ‘Bad Intentions’ Taylor (28–17-1 with 4 losses) has never been one of my favorite boxers.
Although he has been a favorite of my friend, and fellow writer I have never been impressed. He has a great physical talent, but he has late round stamina problems, and an all to frequent habit of losing all thoughts of strategy the longer the fight progressed. But with his first loss in the middleweight ‘Super 6 Championship’ to Arthur Abraham by a massive knockout in the 12th round (with only 10 seconds left no less), could it be the end if he is eliminated altogether?
